Traditional Strategic Planning Steps:
Mission - Why you exist and a summary of your business activities.
Values - Guiding principles that are not negotiable under any circumstances.
Environmental Scan - An internal analysis of Strengths and Weaknesses and an external analysis of Opportunities and Threats.
Critical Issues - What are your greatest challenges that the strategic plan must address?
Vision - What do you want your impact or your image to be in three to five years?
Goals - What actions must you take for your organization to move from where you are today to realize your Vision?
Objectives and Strategies - In a worksheet format, specific action steps, persons responsible, timelines, assessment tools, and costs are identified.   These worksheets become the blueprint for successful implementation of the strategic plan.
